Surrounded on three sides by water, Cornwall is a craggy, charming peninsular full of character. On the north coast you will find particularly fine sandy beaches. Bude, Watergate Bay and Newquay are three that are popular.

There are dramatic cliff views notably at High Cliff between St.Gennys and Boscastle, where the rocks climb to an amazing 732 feet. You will find excellent surfing on this coast also. In contrast the Cornish Riviera in the south offers the much gentler prospect of secluded estuaries, quiet coves and small fishing villages.

All of Cornwall’s 300 beaches are linked by the South West Coast Path. Here you can experience some of the finest sea views in England, including the famous western-most point of Land’s End and the spectacular off-shore island of St. Michael’s Mount, a tiny slice of history. At low tide you can reach the island on foot. Cornwall’s distinctive tin mines, which are a World Heritage Site, are to the west.

Venturing inland, Bodmin Moor attracts walkers to crags and paths. The ruggedness of Bodmin Moor and its nearness to the lush Tamar Valley illustrates perfectly the diversity of Cornwall’s landscape. Liskeard is the gateway to the moor. It was once the centre of the mining industry and the town’s refined 19th century buildings indicate a prosperous past and are now home to some interesting craft and gift shops. On higher ground you will find ancient stones dedicated to long-ago kings of Cornwall. St.Cleer has a superb example of a holy well, and you will also come across pre-historic burial chambers – a reminder that this wild location has been inhabited by humans for 6000 years.

The famous Jamaica Inn is located at Bolventor. Immortalised in the book of the same name by Daphne du Maurier, it stands bleakly overlooking the highest hills in Cornwall, where there are just a few farmhouses dotting the landscape. Not far away at Temple a 12th century church can be found. This was originally built by the Knights Templers for pilgrims on their way to Ireland. This is just one of the many historical gems you will find in this area. The 150 square miles of moorland is a wonderful place for walking. The moor is an area of huge importance and as such has been granted World Heritage status (recognising the importance of tin mining which dates back over 4000 years). Additionally it has also been named an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a Site of Special Scientific Importance. After an exhilarating day exploring this fascinating area, what better way to spend the evening than in the luxury and comfort of your Luxury Holiday Cottages in Cornwall?

The Eden Project is one of Britain’s most successful tourist centres. Truro’s triple-towered Gothic Revival style cathedral and Georgian architecture are popular attractions. Additionally there are many National Trust gardens and properties to visit.

St. Ives, on the Atlantic Coast, is another great place to visit. Situated in the far west of Cornwall, it is famous as a lure for artists due to the exceptional clarity of light and the outstanding azure seas. It is no surprise therefore that St. Ives boasts many art galleries, including the famed Tate St. Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Gallery. There is an abundance of colourful shops and restaurants – a great chance to try some of Cornwall’s traditional food. Everyone has to try a Cornish pasty at least once, or indulge in a delicious cream tea, or buy some of the mouth-watering fudge to enjoy later while relaxing in your Luxury Holiday Cottages in Cornwall. Golf is available at the West Cornwall Golf Clun in Lelant.

Luxury Holiday Cottages In Cornwall – Enjoy The Sea Air!

Padstow is another popular destination. This is a busy 15th century fishing port, full of stone and pastel cottages. The narrow cobbled streets lead down to a wonderful harbour; a great place to enjoy traditional fish and chips and to wander around the superb shops and art galleries. Also in this area is the village of St. Merryn, which has seven spectacular bays and surfing beaches.

Running from Wadebridge to Padstow is a six mile, traffic free, cycle way, called the Camel Trail. This trail passes through some of the most breathtaking countryside in the south west. The trail follows a disused railway line and runs next to the estuary. Bikes can be hired locally so why not take time during your stay at your Luxury Holiday Cottages in Cornwall to enjoy the bracing sea air.

By selecting Luxury Holiday Cottages in Cornwall you are assured of a memorable holiday in luxury accommodation – the perfect base for a self-catering holiday.

Luxury Cottages Cornwall

In the beautiful south of England is somewhere you can find some of the most beautiful luxury cottages Cornwall on offer. You can almost undoubtedly find luxury cottages in any part of England but nowhere else can you find such luxury cottages Cornwall. With some of the most outstanding scenery, stunning beaches and some of England’s friendliest people, why not plan a getaway in luxury cottages Cornwall.

I decided to try for myself by arranging a trip and staying in one of the most luxury cottages Cornwall has on offer, just so that I could pass on my experience to enable others to enjoy a memorable break. Firstly I arranged for a luxury limousine to take us the some 150 miles from where I live to the heart of Cornwall just to make this trip something I would remember for many years and also to show you just what one can expect.

Then I arranged my accommodation but this was to be the hardest decision to make, there were so many luxury cottages Cornwall to choose from. Ranging from picturesque inland country cottages to spectacular beach and boutique cottages and varying in price according to location and the standard of extravagance. I decided that a beach side location was in my opinion added luxury as there can be nowhere better to be than beside the sea in one of the luxury cottages Cornwall has.

As there were so many luxury cottages Cornwall to chose from I was left with three to which I had to make a final decision.

The first was a 5 star luxury cottages Cornwall, a coastal cottage located in a secluded position overlooking one of the most staggering views there are, near to the village of Trebarwith Strand, North Cornwall, close to Tintagel and Boscastle. An idyllic, undisturbed area with many great scenic trails to follow and access to safe, sandy beaches.

This accommodation offers breaks for romantic couples, family holiday or friends get away. The cottage has large open plan living areas and faultless furnishings this sounds like true luxury. The kitchen and lounge areas are at the front of the cottage so that the mind blowing views of the shores can be taken in, one of the most outstanding luxury cottages Cornwall has to offer. Not only that it has two strikingly arranged bedrooms with full ensuite bathrooms, the master has a gorgeous deep roll top bath, sumptuous towels and bath robes to slide into after your bath.

In addition, spilling out from the master bedroom is an amazing teak decked area just perfect for relaxing in fine luxury with a glass of bubbly. Throughout the entire cottage luxury has not been spared. For some of the more practical things to mention there is a dishwasher to save spending time washing up and off road parking for your car so that you know your car is safe. Just a short walk away from one of the most truly luxury cottages Cornwall has to present is coastal paths to explore or to wander around fascinating farmland. There are nearby pubs and restaurants if that is what you require whilst staying in luxury cottages Cornwall.

The second luxury cottages Cornwall has to offer is another truly amazing cottage in Coverack a small unspoilt fishing village near to Helston. The reason this cottage was on my list was because it offered an outdoor heated swimming pool just a few steps from the cottage, for me an added extra luxury that I found hard to resist as it is nestled in an astounding orchard setting and only for use of the cottage occupiers and the owners. It is also not far from Cornwall’s Lizard Peninsular so somewhere to visit with plenty to do and see. The cottage which is of stone build is located in beautiful undisturbed, woodland gardens just perfect for families where children are free to play and explore or for couples looking to get away from it all to relax and spend time together.

Inside the cottage again is sheer luxury combined with character features of a quaint Cornish cottage. The bedrooms and bathrooms are just extravagant with every fine detail met with thought and at no expense, even miniature bubble baths and soaps, just divine and smell gorgeous. The living area pushes all the buttons too with big squidgy sofas, fluffy rugs and extravagant furnishings somewhere to just chill out and enjoy your relaxation time. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a dish washer, fridge freezer, washing machine/dryer all eco-friendly treatment system and cleaning commodities supplied. There is also secure parking available if required. This is a self catering luxury cottages Cornwall but if you like there is an in-house catering service available at an additional cost so that there is no worry of getting in supplies or the thought of cooking. You could also add bubbles and chocolates for some additional luxury on arrival. Mmmnnnnnn so hard to chose, well just one more luxury cottages Cornwall to mention then to make a final decision!

Luxury Cottages Cornwall – Stunning Roof Top Terrace:

The third of my luxury cottages Cornwall, which by the way is the one I chose, is a boutique cottage nestled in a quaint street in St Ives, a beautiful location not far from the harbour and beach. This cottage again offers luxurious accommodation with the addition of Wi-Fi and every mod con you could possibly want or need! It has a stunning roof top terrace offering uninterrupted views of the harbour and beyond. There is a fabulous master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom that accommodates a beautiful roll-top bath and luxury shower, TV and DVD, I-Pod deck, and a cosy electric flame fireplace.

There is a second bedroom, although smaller it is luxuriously furnished with a separate shower room that has been beautifully decorated and fully equipped. There is a huge open planned kitchen/living room, fully equipped kitchen area with added luxury of breakfast bar, dishwasher, washing machine and gas hob. The living area is extravagantly furnished with 42” plasma TV, juke box and large comfy sofas to sit in, a stunning room with views from the large windows overlooking the roof tops of St Ives. Steps lead up from this room to a very unique roof terrace where the owner has created a miniature “Eden” with gorgeous pale coloured furniture, superb plants and flowers along with outdoor lighting this is truly an amazing area to sit and enjoy the outstanding views whilst sipping a cool drink and soak up the atmosphere. I really could not wait to get here it sounded and was like heaven to me but will it be for you? Oh by the way this luxury cottages Cornwall property has gas central heating in case it gets chilly and is supplied with luxurious linen and towels, so no need to bring anything with you, just bring along yourself and enjoy sheer luxury.

Cornwall really does offer “luxury cottages Cornwall” accommodation and I for one will be visiting again as this was absolute luxury and I did not want to come home, will you! The next time I visit it will undoubtedly be my second choice of luxury cottages Cornwall.

The Paddocks – an eight bedroomed mansion with six double bedrooms, one twin and one single bedroom. There is a large family bathroom located on the first floor with sunken Jacuzzi bath. Four of the double bedrooms have their own en-suite bathrooms. The cottage has a large through lounge diner, the huge dining table seating sixteen. The property is located close to the beach and pretty market town of Penzance. A short drive away is the Penlee Gallery and Museum. This was one of my favourite seaside cottages in Cornwall.

From the beaches of Penzance one can see St Michaels Mount, an isle that can be reached on foot at low tide. You can drive to Marazion, park your car and then cross the causeway in a matter of minutes to reach the isle from the mainland. The Mount is believed to have been inhabited by a giant called Cormoran. He is said to have waded across to the mainland to steal cows and sheep from farmers to feed his enormous appetite. According to legend, a small boy rowed over to the isle and dug a deep hole which the giant subsequently fell into and died.

There are many activities to pursue in Cornwall including; windsurfing, surfing, diving, fishing, sailing, kite surfing and of course, golf. Walking is a popular activity with numerous trails over cliff tops or treks over Bodmin Moor and Exmoor. To the south of Cornwall is the Lizard Peninsula, the most southerly point is the UK. It is famous for its lighthouse which was built in 1751 and its serpentine stone which is still being used to make ornaments.

If you are considering seaside cottages in Cornwall for your next holiday, you will be spoilt for choice. There is a wonderful array of different types and styles of seaside cottages in Cornwall and plenty of attractions to visit. It is a popular County for holidaymaker’s and the climate in the West Country is one of the warmest in the UK.
